This letter was sent to us after a young Ministock driver was involved in an racing incident on track last Saturday night, 20th November. This letter has been re-typed word for word. Just a small note of the support and concern that is shared not only between drivers, but track officials and promoters at Wellington Speedway.

During Ministock racing on Saturday 20th, our son was involved in a crash which resulted in him being taken to the ambulance. After some time we found out he was okay and it was more precautionary than anything else.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank not only the fantastic ambulance officers but also those people who showed concern for our son, committee members and many drivers and families of all classes. This concern continued into Sunday when my husband’s phone rang non-stop with people ringing to see how Josh was. We were overwhelmed by this and we think our son is very privileged to race in such a thoughtful and caring club. Thanks
Tayna Powell, Grant Patterson and Josh
