Are you interested in Speedway but aren’t totally sure where to start? If so, then please read on.

There are many different classes you could use to start your Speedway Career in. Depending on your age and budget, there is something to suit everyone. If you are only young then Ministocks could be for you. Drivers age from 12 years right up to 17. Budget cars an easily be found and still be very competitive, with running costs also being low. If you’re older than the required age for Ministocks but still want to be involved in affordable racing, then Production Saloons may be the way. This is a class that grows steadily and is exciting to be a part of. Also on the lower budget side, but with contact allowed, are the Streetstocks. If you sometimes have the want to hit other cars while driving on the open road but for obvious reasons can’t, then Streetstocks are perfect for you! Generally when you here someone talking about Speedway the name ‘Stockcars’ usually comes up. Whether you want to spend big dollars or not, enjoy contact sports, and love working on cars, then you should be looking at driving either a Stockcar or Superstock. Both classes are great and really depend on your budget. Saloons and Super Saloons are another two options to consider. A totally different driving style to Stockcars is required to get these cars a round the track in one piece. But if you are into the more traditional car shape, then these are your classes. Both of these classes are non-contact and once again depend on your budget. Lastly, onto the open wheel classes. Minisprints are known as the feeder class to Sprintcars, offering racing for a smaller budget but still holding the same characteristics of a Sprintcar. Or, if you have the budget and love fast cars then the 750 plus horsepower Sprintcars are for you. Sprintcars are the fastest speedway class in the world and offer open wheel racing at it’s best.
