What time do the races start?
On track action usually starts at 7pm. Please check the event page for the event you plan on attending which will detail start times for the specific event.
Is there parking and what is the cost?
The Speedway car park caters for approximately 500 vehicles and all parking is free.
There is Reserved Parking at the Speedway – This option is only available for club members and is fenced off next to the Clubrooms.
Is there reserved seating?
There is no reserved seating at the Speedway however there is corporate boxes onsite. Please contact us for more information about these.
Where can I sit?
A general admission ticket allows access to grandstand seating in our back straight grandstand, front straight build up seating and on the grass hill areas in turns one, two and three, four.
Can I bring food and drinks into the venue?
Yes, you can bring food and drinks. However please note NO GLASS OR ALCOHOL can be brought onto premises.
Can I bring a chilly bin?
Yes. However please note NO GLASS OR ALCOHOL can be brought onto premises. If you bring a chilly bin into the venue then please be prepared to be searched.
How do I purchase tickets?
Tickets are available at the front General Admission gates for race nights. There are two General Admission gates, one half way down the back straight, accessible through the carpark and also through the pit entrance gate. Admission gates generally open at 6.00pm however please check the event page of the event that you are attending. EFTPOS facilities are ONLY available at the pit entrance gate to purchase your tickets. Anyone with childrens prams or sponsors passes must enter through the pit entrance gate. Please check each upcoming event for ticket prices.
Can I pre-purchase tickets?
Tickets are not usually pre-purchasable, however feel free to contact us for information about any pre-purchasing opportunities.
Can I hire a corporate box for the night?
If you are interested in hiring a corporate box please contact us about availability for single events.
What sort of merchandise is available to purchase?
The Dirt Den stocks all sorts of Merchandise from driver posters to team shirts, die-casts, hats and much more! The Dirt Den can be found down by the corporate boxes in turn two. There is no EFTPOS at the Dirt Den.
What food is available to purchase?
The raceway has food and drink outlets run by Baxters Catering serving hot food such as burgers, hot chips, hot dogs, hot drinks, cold drinks and more! Special catering is occasionally added for major events.
What is the best time to arrive at Wellington Family Speedway?

Can I take photos/video?
Yes, for personal use only. We also have a track photographer that you can purchase photos of the event from. Check out www.stockcam.co.nz
Is there any Smokfree seating at the track?
Yes, the blue grandstand is a Smokefree area.
Are the pits open to the public?
Yes the pits are open to the public, however children must be accompanied by an adult.
