CAPITAL POOLS & SPAS NZ STOCKCAR CHAMPIONSHIP

The Capital Pools & Spas New Zealand Stockcar Championship is coming to Value Motors Wellington Family Speedway on the 17th & 18th of January 2025.

Qualifying Night for the New Zealand Stockcar Title is on Friday the 17th, with over 200 cars descending on the capital to try to take home the coveted 1NZ number. The monstrous field will be going head to head over 8 groups on Friday night, with a repechage Saturday night to sort out the final field. This is the night we find our finalists, one of whom will be the new New Zealand Champion.

Finals Night for the New Zealand Stockcar Title in Wellington where we find out which car of the 200 that descended on the capital will take home the coveted 1NZ number. The night will start with a repechage for the final places before three tiers of Stockcars action with the best of the best from the country. Supporting the action will be the winged thunder of the V8 Modifieds laying down the power to make one epic weekend of action!

Finals night has an early Start of 5pm with qualifying night starting at 6pm

Timings

Friday 17th January

3:30 pm - public gates open

4:00 pm - scrutineering finishes

5:15 pm - car collection & transponder checking

6:00 pm - racing starts

Saturday 18th January

3:00pm - public gates open, scrutineering finishes

5:00pm - Modified race one

5:15pm - Repechage 1

5:30pm - Repechage 2

5:45pm - NZ Champs Finalists parade/driver introductions

6:15pm - racing program to continue

Seating Arrangements
We're excited to welcome a capacity crowd to Wellington! Please note some changes to our usual seating:

Concrete Terrace Seating: Please be aware that deckchairs will not be allowed along the concrete terraces on the start-finish straight.

Blanket Seating: We encourage you to bring blankets for our grass embankments, ensuring everyone has the chance to enjoy the thrilling action. Please note - tarpaulins for reserving space won't be permitted.

Parking
Parking for the event has a $5 charge. Our traffic management team will ensure an efficient exit from the venue, closing off the highway post-meeting to keep things moving smoothly.

Let's maximize space by parking close together! To ensure emergency access, please refrain from parking on the driveway as you come down to the venue. If cars do park along here, they will be towed.

We have both cash and Eftpos available for parking fees.

Ticket Information
For on-the-night sales, two gates will be available at the main ticket box. If we hit capacity (or near it), pre-purchased ticket holders will receive priority entry. No need to print your ticket! Just scan from your smartphone for easy access.

Note: Rain-out passes from previous events CANNOT be used for this championship.

T-Shirt Collection
For those who have pre-purchased T-Shirts, collection for these will be under the veranda at the clubrooms. This is located in the pit area which can be found on the map below and will be available between 4:00pm - 4:30pm both Friday & Saturday.

Programs
Available for purchase for $10 at the gate and from our friendly volunteers, our full glossy printed programs are a great souvenir to commemorate the event.

Food & Drinks
A fantastic range of food vendors will be available over the weekend. We will be posting a full vendor map before Friday so you can see our range of awesome food and drink options.
Please note that alcohol consumption and glass containers are not permitted at Wellington Speedway.
