Intended as a feeder class to Sprintcars or a class for Ministock drivers to step into, Minisprints are fast becoming a big class at Wellington Speedway. Based on a Midget Chassis with a small capacity motor and big wing, Minisprints have provided some amazingly close racing in the past and look set to continue this in the future.

The specifications of this fast paced class are quite easy to follow with 1340cc maximum engine sizes. Most people tend to run Nissans, Fords or Toyotas. All engines must have original crank and stroke and may run on methanol fuel. Midget sized chassis with Midget running gear and weighing a minimum 420kg, this class is always one to watch!
