Non-Returning Competitors
If you are unable to compete on the Saturday night we need you to advise your group leader/rep as soon as possible. Ideally, if you know you won't be returning after racing on Saturday, this will enable us to advise those other drivers that might be on the cusp of a repechage to be ready to race the following day.
If you are unable to find your rep or discover on Sunday that you cannot race please email info@wellingtonspeedway.co.nz or text 027 555 2525 with your name, race number and that you wish to be removed.
Pit Parking
Every driver has an allocated park that must be adhered to for each of the nights. Please see image for your parking spot for Qualifying night, this will be updated after racing ahead of finals night.
There will be NO changes to this map on the day; all drivers must park in their allocated spot.
Once you arrive on Saturday you will be reminded of this parking spot and directed there by our parking wardens.
Scrutineering
Will take place in the weigh shed, please unload and proceed down to be checked on arrival
SNZ - Gear Checking
Once your car has been scrutineered, weighed and put onto the infield, you will be required to get your gear checked. Gear checking is located in the SNZ Hut below race control in turn 1/2. There is a big "SNZ" sign on top of the white container shed. Cars that have not had gear checked and officailly signed off before drivers breifing are deemed to have not showed up.
Qualifying
Five groups - three races each, after those three races, the top 5 drivers on points will qualify for the NZ Superstock Champs finals field. If there are ties for 5th and 6th, this will be decided by a 4-lap run-off at the end of the night.
In the event of a points tie for a grid position in the repechage, this will be determined by the fastest lap from all three qualifying races on night one.
Repechage
The next 5 drivers on points, per group, from qualifying night will race in the repechage. The final repecharge spot will be filled by the next highest overall points scorer (from 11th place down across all groups). In the event of a points tie for any repechage spot, this will be determined by the fastest lap from all three qualifying races on night one.
The first driver across the finish line in the repechage after 12 laps will qualify for the finals field and fill the remaining grid position.
Grid Draws
Grid draws for qualifying night are all being done via the computer; there is NO marble draw for qualifying grids. Grids will be available on the back of race control after drivers briefing, and will also be delivered to you from your group leader after you return from collecting your car from the infield.
Format
The format will be explained in detail at the driver's briefing.
TWS Technical Welding Services Second Tier
The next twenty-five competitors from the repechage and the next highest point scorer will be in the second-tier championship.
PTS Logistics Third Tier
All remaining competitors will be split into two or three random groups - A, B, C (if needed). The championship will be run over two reverse grid qualifying races. If there are two groups, the top 13 on points per group will qualify for the one-race final for the overall third-tier championship winner. If there are four groups, following the qualifying races, the top 26 overall will qualify for the one-race final for the overall third-tier championship winner.
All format and numbers are subject to entries and maybe changed based on numbers.
Entry Prices / Passes
