Streetstocks may well be the last place you'll see the great three-way rivalry between Holden, Ford and Chrysler played out in anger. Big-bodied road cars jostling and bumping their way toward the front, all chasing the same win — it's a class with real character.
A limited-contact rule means you won't see the gut-wrenching hits that define Stockcar racing, but you will see these cars doing things no road car was ever designed to do.
With no performance modifications or enhancements permitted, results come down to driver ability: reading the field, finding a way through and staying off the wall without getting spun. This is a class where names like HQ, Monaro, Charger and Falcon still turn up on the track and are still very much appreciated. Streetstocks are also unique in that they race in both clockwise and anti-clockwise directions.
