High-octane and hard to ignore, Super Saloons are New Zealand Speedway's answer to the V8 Supercars. Sleek, mean and finely developed, these dirt-oval thoroughbreds are a reliable crowd favourite. They're fast and formidable, built and set up so they carry nearly as much speed through the corners as they do down the straights.
Their width and pace make passing a genuine test of skill and timing. Get it wrong — or find the throttle a fraction too early — and the usual outcome is a decent amount of damage.
